Peninsula College presents DamNation

Friday, May 1, 2015 - 7:00pm
Maier Performance Hall
General admission is a suggested $5 donation; FREE with student ID.

A panel will lead a discussion after the film:

Jim Waddell, Economist, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, retired
Ian Miller, PhD., Coastal Hazards Specialist Washington Sea Grant
Steve Hollenhorst, PhD., Dean of Huxley College of the Environment, WWU
Richard W. Osborne, Ph.D., Research Consultant, Olympic Natural Resources Center

This powerful film odyssey across America explores the sea change in our national attitude from pride in big dams as engineering wonders to the growing awareness that our own future is bound to the life and health of our rivers. Multiple award winner and audience favorite at film festivals across the nation, DamNation is the perfect follow-up to several other films we’ve recently shown at Peninsula College about the removal of the dams on the Elwha River.
