The Third annual frozen River film festival
PARTNERS With Lake City Ice Climbs!

February 6, 2015
Doors open for Happy Hour at 6 PM
Evening Program starts at 7pm

The Lake Fork Valley Conservancy is proud to announce that the third annual Frozen River Film Festival will again be held in partnership with the annual Lake City Ice Climbing Festival during the weekend of February 6-7th, 2015.

Friday night will open the film festival, giving locals a chance to mingle with visiting climbers and movie buffs during a two-part program of films. Part one will feature a series of short films ranging in topics from Mongolian Olympic Archers to The Colorado River Delta. Part two will include our feature film of the night: DamNation. Saturday brings the ice climbing competition, with an afternoon of family-friendly shorts. Saturday night will be followed by the film festival's feature presentations, Uranium Drive-In, and Once Upon a Forest in the evening.

Over the course of the two days, the Frozen River Film Festival screens tales of backcountry daring, charismatic conservationists, and innovative ways to preserve and enjoy the environment, in a program that pays homage to our most precious natural resource: water.

The festival also serves as an annual fundraiser for the Conservancy's important work in conservation, education, and restoration.

We'll sell popcorn and drinks for all ages at the concession stand. This year, most of the festival's proceeds will support phase two of the LFVC's Henson Creek and Lake Fork River Enhancement Project.
